This loverly 1890s Victorian wedding dress is a two-piece set crafted from lightweight silk habotai with a woven wheat Jacquard pattern. Never fully completed, this gown is a rare unworn piece from the Victorian era. The high collar features delicate rayon embroidered tulle, with the neckline accented by brocade weft trim. The bodice is lined in a batiste cotton and the soft gigot sleeves are finished with matching weft trim. The full, pleated floor-length skirt is unlined and unhemmed (matching hem trim included). The back showcases pin tucks and an eye hook closure, offering customizable options. Keep the original eye hook closure, switch it out for a corset insert, zipper or choose from our many button loop closure options to accent the back of this beautiful 1890s bridal gown.

Bodice Closure Options: Because our vintage gowns are carefully restored by immersion cleaning, this requires the removal of original buttons to prevent metal oxidation on the fabric, giving brides the opportunity to customize their back closure. If the original buttons can be saved, we’ll restore them. Otherwise, choose from silk bridal buttons, freshwater pearl buttons, crystal buttons, embroidered buttons, a mesh zipper, or a corset insert to finish off your unique dream wedding gown.
